![]() Using the online video is a good idea here, but unfortunately your colleague cant open those videos. ![]() Currently, Its not feasible for the PowerPoint for Mac to compress the video as it doesnt conclude such an out of box feature like Office for Windows version. Reading lots of posts, it seems conventional wisdom that provided the Powerpoint files are less than 2Gb, all should be OK but I can't get anywhere near this. Thanks for your posting in Microsoft Community. ![]() Split the files into the smallest sections that I can handle so further splitting is not an option. But the moment I try to run the File/Compress Pictures mode, Powerpoint just crashes and brings up the usual "Sorry but. I have some files that are about 900Mb and they run fine in normal Powerpoint mode (no speed problems, loading etc). I am surprised that such a RELATIVELY small file size causes a major corruption! I am using a MacBook Pro Retina with i7 processor, 16Gb RAM and 500Gb Flash Drive so the computer should not be a limiting factor. If I keep the file size below about 350Mb, the file will compress nicely but above this, theĬompression action will crash Powerpoint. However, there seems to be a file size limit beyond which Powerpoint crashes on compression and sends a report to Microsoft. The files I am developing are large because they contain a large number of high resolution photos (.jpg) and I want to keep the original images in the master Powerpoint files then compress to 220ppi orġ50ppi for the working presentations. I am using Office 365 on a Mac - Powerpoint 2016.
